Transmission BTC - Torrent Dow 1.3.10

Transmission is a robust yet exceptionally lightweight and speedy BitTorrent client. It encompasses a myriad of features expected from a BitTorrent client, including encryption, a web interface, peer exchange, magnet links, DHT, µTP, UPnP and NAT-PMP port forwarding, webseed support, tracker editing, global and per-torrent speed limits, among others.

This application represents an adaptation of the Transmission daemon for Android with additional functionalities:

• Manage downloads directly within the application.
• Utilize multiple watch/download directories.
• Ability to employ HTTP(S)/SOCKS proxy.
• Wi-Fi/Ethernet mode to conserve mobile data.
• Select preferred Wi-Fi SSIDs - the service operates only when connected to specified networks.
• Maintain CPU/WiFi activation to finalize downloads before device sleep mode engages.
• Enable sequential download for streaming media files while downloading.
• Access and stream selected files through media player via .torrent files or torrent/magnet URLs.
• Builtin UPnP MediaServer for downloading media files onto phone/tablet/TV-box to view on TV or any UPnP compatible media player linked to the same network.
• M3U playlists generated for all torrents/folders comprising audio/video files. To obtain the playlist URL, long press on the play icon.

The daemon operates as a background service. Users can interact with the daemon remotely through the built-in web interface or any preferred Transmission remote option.

Known issues and limitations:

• The daemon may experience temporary freezing while allocating space for larger files. For complete details, refer to this link. To mitigate this concern, it is advisable to utilize a Linux native file system like ext4. Migration to NTFS may also offer some relief, though efficacy may vary based on the system.
• The feature "Allowed WiFi SSIDs" mandates location permissions for proper functioning; failure to grant these permissions will hinder the application's ability to access Wi-Fi SSID information.
